THE MIRACLES OF MOSES

The 1st Miracle) In Exodus 2:5-6 Moses was saved from death. Pharaoh had decreed to kill all the male children born to the Hebrew women. Pharaoh became Moses’ grandfather. God has a sense of humor in His divine justice.

In Hebrews 11:24, 26 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He esteemed the reproach of Christ to be of greater riches than the treasures of Egypt because he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.

(2nd Miracle) In Exodus 3:2 the angel of the Lord appeared unto Moses in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. The bush burned with fire but it wasn’t consumed. The fire in believers will preserve us from the fire that’s trying to consume us in the natural.

In Exodus 3:7 God was concerned about His children’s sufferings.

(3rd Miracle) In Exodus 4:3 Moses’ rod became a serpent.

(4th Miracle) In Exodus 4:6 Moses’ hand turned leprous.

(5th Miracle) In Exodus 7:20 the water of the Nile River turned to blood.

(6th Miracle) In Exodus 8:13 the Nile River brought forth frogs.

(7th Miracle) In Exodus 8:16 the dust of the land became lice throughout Egypt.

(8th Miracle) In Exodus 8:24 flies swarmed into Pharaoh’s house.

(9th Miracle) In Exodus 9:6 all the cattle of Egypt died.

(10th Miracle) In Exodus 9:10 boils with blisters appeared upon the Egyptians and upon their beasts.

(11th Miracle) In Exodus 9:23 the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire ran along upon the ground. It rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

(12th Miracle) In Exodus 10:13 the east wind brought locusts upon Egypt.

(13th Miracle) In Exodus 10:22 a thick darkness covered the land of Egypt.

(14th Miracle) In Exodus 11:2 the Jews took the spoils of Egypt for their own possession.

(15th Miracle) In Exodus 12:29 the firstborn born in the land of Egypt died at the hand of the Lord. God transferred the wealth of the wicked Egyptians into the hands of the Israelites.

(16th Miracle) In Exodus 14:21 Moses stretched out his hand over the Red Sea and the Lord caused the sea to roll back by a strong wind all that night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided.

Moses carried Joseph’s bones out of Egypt as they headed for the Promised Land.

MIRACLES OF MOSES AFTER THE RED SEA INCIDENT

(17th Miracle) The Lord led them by day in a pillar of a cloud and by night in a pillar of fire.

(18th Miracle) In Exodus 15:23 the Israelites went into the desert three days and found no water. The waters of Marah were bitter. The Lord showed Moses a particular tree which he was to cast into the waters to make it sweet. The tree represents the cross of Christ. The word of God is bitter to our belly (flesh) but sweet as honey in our mouth (spirit).

(19th Miracle) In Exodus 16:13 quail (food) came up and covered the camp.

(20th Miracle) In Exodus 16:15 manna (fresh bread) began falling from heaven.

(21st Miracle) In Exodus 17:6 Moses was told to smite a particular rock in Horeb and water would flow out of it to keep the Jews from being thirsty. The rock represents Christ. The word represents the water. We must touch the rock (Jesus) in order to get the water of the word flowing in order to quench our thirst.

(22nd Miracle) In Exodus 17:10 while Moses held up the rod of God, Joshua was able to defeat Amalek.

(23rd Miracle) In Exodus 19:18 Mount Sinai was on fire and the whole mountain shook greatly because the Lord descended upon it in the fire.

(24th Miracle) In Exodus 20:1 God spoke the Ten Commandments out loud.

(25th Miracle) In Exodus 32:16 God wrote the Law on tablets of stone with His finger.

The first instructions were given for Passover to be kept as a memorial religious ceremony.

I Corinthians 10:1-6 Moreover, Brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

MAN REBELS AGAINST MOSES’ AUTHORITY

In Leviticus 11:1-2 Aaron’s two sons offered their own incense and strange fire upon God’s altar so God destroyed them both. They had abused their delegated authority which did not please God.

(26th Miracle) In Numbers 11:1 the Israelites complained among themselves and when the Lord heard it He was provoked to anger. Those in the outer parts of the camp were destroyed with fire.

(27th Miracle) In Numbers 12:1 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of his marrying an Ethiopian (black) woman. They were not submitted to the delegated authority, Moses. Miraim was stricken with leprosy for seven days.

In Numbers 14:36 ten spies return to camp and give Moses an evil report concerning the Promised Land. They slandered the land. Their words cursed the land. They each died of a plague because of their evil report.

In Numbers 16:1 Korah, a descendant of Reuben, was a rebel and he rose up in revolt against Moses and the Levites. He claimed that Moses had taken too much authority, upon himself to lead them. He complained against the delegated authority which God had chosen.

In Numbers 16:15 Moses went before God and asked Him not to respect their offerings. God honored Moses’ request.

In Numbers 16:30 Moses was proclaiming spirit words of death to Korah and his household.

(28th Miracle) In Numbers 16:31 the ground swallowed them up alive. Their rebellion led to their death.

(29th Miracle) In Numbers 16:41 the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron. God became angered and sent a plague (disease) among the people.

In Numbers 17:2 twelve rods were brought before Moses. On the rods were the names of their fathers according to tribes.

(30th Miracle) In Numbers 17:8 Aaron’s rod budded, bloomed blossoms and yielded almonds. God performed this miracle to stop the complaining against Moses and Aaron. He did it to prove to the Jewish nation that He had chosen them to lead the people. It was to prove that the household of Levi were His ministers and they alone would perform all the priestly duties. No other tribe could perform the oblations or offerings. Only the offerings of the Levites were acceptable. Aaron’s rod budded first. When we are chosen of God to perform a task which He has called us to do we will bare first like Aaron’s rod. Aaron was chosen to be a priest unto God.

In Numbers 20:8 Moses was supposed to speak to the rock but because he was angry against the Israelites he struck the rock with his rod. The Rock represented Jesus and Moses’ rod represented God. Moses sinned because of his anger. When he struck the rock twice it was symbolic of God striking Jesus, His Son.

In Numbers 21:5 the people complained about their provisions.

(31st Miracle) In Numbers 17:6 God sent fiery serpents and they bit the people and they died.

In Numbers 21:9 Moses made a brass serpent and put it on a pole. Whenever a Jew was bitten by a serpent when he looked at the brass serpent he would live and not die. The bronze serpent represented Jesus upon the tree of Calvary. Jesus was their deliverance. Jesus was their deliverer. Their faith healed them when they looked at the bronze serpent.

In Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

In Numbers 25:1 Israel began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. The Moabites were the descendants of Lot’s sons conceived by his own daughters. A curse of incest hung over the house of Moab.

In Numbers 25:9 a plague killed 24,000 people.

I Corinthians 10:7-8 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Neither let us commit fornication , as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Twenty three thousand people died in one day because of having illicit sexual relations.

I Corinthians 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

In Deuteronomy 34:5-5 Moses died in the land of Moab. The Lord buried him in a valley in the land of Moab where no man could find his body. If man had uncovered Moses’ body they would have erected an idol of Moses and worshiped him instead of God. Moses was 120 years of age when he died. God promised man a life span of 120 years.

In Luke 9:20 God sent Moses back to Jesus on the Mount of transfiguration before Christ was crucified.
