ROARING IN THE GAP PRAYER MANUAL

Enter into your chamber of prayer with confidence that whatever your request, you know that you are going to receive an answer.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Go into your prayer closet or your secret place with praise and worship in your heart. Put on a praise tape or some gospel music that tenderizes your heart every time you listen to it. If you can sing, begin singing along. Let this music become your melodious accompaniment as you begin to sing before the Lord your God. Raise your hands and praise Him for what He has done for you, how He has changed your life and your circumstances. Absolutely no one remains the same after having the blood of Jesus applied to his or her lives. You become instantly changed on the inside, in the twinkling of an eye.

By beginning your prayer life with praise, you are submitting your will to God. You are also guarding yourself from any satanic forces that may be trying to bring your mind, heart, body, or emotions into unholy captivity. You cannot praise the Lord and have negative feelings and thoughts at the same time. The negativism, which is of the devil, will have to flee from your presence.

You need to start your day with prayer. Do not wait until the day is half over or it is late at night to pray. You need to pray off and on all day long. Put God first in your life. Before you do anything else or make any daily decisions or get involved with the new day’s events you need to seek God.

When you arise each morning, go before the Lord for your daily blood bath cleansing. Go into your prayer closet and abide in the secret place of the most high God. Before you can rightfully enter into the throne room, your own personal sins of deed, thought, speech, action, commission, and omission (failing to do something in particular that God instructed you to do or to go somewhere or to speak a kind word that would lift up someone’s spirit), and your sins of unforgiveness are washed away, only then do you stand undefiled before a holy, righteous God in His presence.

Surrender and submissiveness are essential elements at this point of prayer. As you surrender your mind to the Lord ask Him to cleanse and purify your thoughts and to wash away all the garbage that keeps running around inside of your brain. Surrender every thought, every idea, every imagination, and apply the blood of Jesus over every thought that travels through your brain. You can then pray Scriptures that relate to your mind.

Philippians 4:8 Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

II Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

By praying the word over your mind you not only get control of your thoughts but also your faith is being built up by hearing the word. The Lord tells us that He watches over His word to perform it.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void (empty), but it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Your mind must be disciplined at all times and every thought needs to be brought into captivity. Lust conceives thoughts and developed thoughts sow sinful actions (seeds called death) to your body and spirit.

Your mind is the gateway of your heart, mouth, and spirit. Stop the devil in your thoughts and do not let him attack your heart. Renew your mind daily by reading the word of God and praying the will of God.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove (demonstrate) what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Surrender your emotions so that every sensation that you experience in your body of flesh will glorify God. Apply the blood of Jesus over yourself.

Remember this always, in everything that we think, in everything we do, in everything we feel, in everywhere we go, in everything we speak we either glorify God or Satan.

Which will you do today? The choice is yours.

Your prayer should continue as you request that your feet be sanctified so they will go where the Lord sends you, so that you will not enter into houses of abomination nor into dens of iniquity but that they will be guided and they will walk the straight and narrow path of righteousness all the days of your life so that you can dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Pray Scriptures over your footsteps.

Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Submit and plead for the sanctification of your hands so that everything they touch will honor God, that they will take hold of no unclean thing. Pray for God to let His healing power flow through your hands as instruments and vessels of healing to others.

Surrender your eyes and ask the Lord to cleanse them so that you only behold the sights that are acceptable to Him, and refrain from the evil sights of the world. Pray for God to strengthen you so that you will turn away from fleshly sights that are an abomination to Him.

Submit your ears and wash them out with the blood of Jesus so they will turn away from the filth of this world to protect your ears from foul language, profanities, wicked, and lustful conversations will fall upon deafened ears.

The Lord can actually cause you not to hear such obscenities if you will only believe.

Pray for God to open your ears to hear the voice of the good Shepherd (Jesus). You need to become fine-tuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit as He directs you.

John 10:3-4 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice; and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

Psalms 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To-day if ye will hear his voice.

Your next prayer request should be in the area of God’s sanctification of your tongue so nothing vile or corrupt will roll out of your mouth or issue forth from your tongue. This includes stopping your tongue from speaking vain words or hurtful, judgmental words like talking about others behind their back, telling dirty jokes, speaking profanities, speaking lustful innuendoes, speaking pious, or vain-glorious prideful words (giving adulation to your own self). Wash your mouth out with the blood of Jesus Christ just like you would use a mouth wash.

Proverbs 10:20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver.

Proverbs 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Ask God to sanctify your entire being with the blood of Jesus. Apply the blood to your body, soul, and spirit. Apply the blood of Jesus over everything you own and possess. Appropriate the power of Jesus’ blood until you feel like you have been restored worthy to stand before God.

Remember that God will not anoint an unclean vessel. You must be spotless in order to flow in the anointing that activates the gifts of the Spirit.

II Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
